Firstly, once you complete your diet it will be far harder to get those muscles back than it will the fat and secondly, by losing those muscle cells you've lost a valuable weapon in your arsenal against weight because just to exist a muscle cell uses more energy than a fat cell. This is another great reason to make sure you stay fit and strong, you'll be able to see increasing weight loss benefits the more muscles you have. But this doesn't mean you have to become a bodybuilder!

You can't get away from the fact that any sort of attempt at a fast weight loss diet must be done correctly and with adequate knowledge of the risks.
